In the West We Have Two Summers is a ceramic vessel series reflecting on Australian landscape, inherited memory, and colonial legacies. Hand-thrown jars combine red earth forms with painted stoneware lids inspired by European decorative traditions, creating a quiet tension between place and pattern. The works act as containers for personal and collective histories, exploring belonging, displacement, and how landscape is carried through objects made by hand.
